Diogo Piçarra wins MTV EMA for Best Portuguese Act

It is the second MTV EMA for the Portuguese singer and author

Singer and author Diogo Piçarra was distinguished with the MTV EMA of Best Portuguese Act 2021, at the MTV European Music Awards, which took place on Sunday, November 15, in Budapest (Humgria). It is the second time that Diogo Piçarra has received this distinction.

The artist was present at the arena in Budapest to receive the distinction, on a stage where big names such as Ed Sheeran, Imagine Dragons, One Republic, Maluma, Olly Alexander (Years and Years) or Manu Gavassi, distinguished as Best Brazilian Act, passed by. ceremony was performed by Saweetie.

In 2021, Diogo Piçarra released “Monarquia” in collaboration with Bispo, who has already achieved the status of a plantina record and recently released “Vem Dançar Comigo”, the single that sets the tone for the tour.

The first dates of the tour, on the 8th, 9th and 10th of November, in Porto, are sold out and the next performances, on the 8th, 9th and 10th of December, in Lisbon, have already sold out two of the three dates.

The Come Cantar Comigo tour continues throughout the country with dates already announced at the Casino da Figueira da Foz, on December 18, at Teatro das Figuras (Faro), on the 22nd of December, at the Cine-Teatro António Lamoso, in Santa Maria da Feira, on the 5th of February, and on the 14th of February at the Casino da Póvoa de Varzim, with these last two dates already sold out.

To do justice to the name of the tour, Diogo Piçarra launched a challenge, from which he will choose one person per city to take the stage and sing with him. Those interested in participating in the selection process must submit a video interpreting a song by the artist.
