Stamp collectors meet at Algarpex 2021 in Portimão

This is a non-competitive exhibition and aimed at philatelic collectors, writers and journalists who are native to or residing in the Algarve

The Algarpex 2021 – 12th Philatelic Exhibition of the Algarve takes place from the 10th to the 14th of November, at the Hall of the Parish Center of Nossa Senhora do Amparo, in Portimão.

Algarpex is a philatelic exhibition (of stamp collections) that takes place every year in the Algarve region, since 2010, being organized alternately by the philatelic associations of the Algarve.

This year it was up to AFAL – Associação Filatelica do Algarve to carry it out, with sponsorship and support from the Parish of Nossa Senhora do Amparo, the Portuguese Philatelic Federation, CTT and the Municipality of Portimão.

It is a non-competitive exhibition and aimed at philatelic collectors, writers and journalists who are natural or resident in the Algarve.

Spanish collectors from the Clube Filatélico de Huelva will be the special guests of this edition.

The opening ceremony is scheduled for 17:00 on November 10, with the delivery of the Algarpex flag to the organizing association, the opening of the Post Office and the launch of the commemorative postal mark, which also marks the 40th anniversary of AFAL - Philatelic Association of the Algarve.

From the 11th to the 13th, the event will be open from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm and from 14:30 pm to 17:30 pm, with guided tours for school students.

On the 14th, the opening period will be from 10:00 am to 13:00 pm and from 15:00 pm to 16:00 pm.

In the morning, there will be a Philatelic Meeting between all participants, to exchange views on the exhibited material, and also a Philatelic Tertúlia, starting at 11:00 am.

This will be followed, at 13:00, with the traditional lunch and the distribution of equal diplomas and trophies for everyone.
