The ADERE 2020 GAL, managed by Vicentina – Association for the Development of the Southwest, saw its financial allocation for the implementation of the Local Development Strategy reinforced, with funds from the transition period. According to Vicentina, "the conditions for opening new tenders for some types of operations are thus met."
In this period of tenders, there are novelties in the 10.2.1.2 Small Investments in the Transformation and Marketing of Agricultural Products typology, which opens a specific tender to support the acquisition of equipment to improve storage capacity for the Wine Sector.
The remaining tenders cover the already known types of operation, such as Small Investments in Farming, Small Investments in the Transformation and Marketing of Agricultural Products and the Diversification of Activities in Farming.
All tenders have changes, arising from the changes to Ordinance No. 152/2016 regarding measure 10 - Leader (Local Development), of PDR2020, which was updated and republished by Ordinance No. 187/2021 of September 07, 2021, namely in rates of support, in economic activities eligible for support, in the maximum amounts of support or even in the selection criteria.
«This opens up new opportunities to support investment in the territory of intervention, which extends to the municipalities of Aljezur, Vila do Bispo, Lagos, Monchique, Silves and Portimão, for the agricultural sector and for the diversification of activities in our agricultural holdings with with a view to improving the living, working and production conditions of farmers, as well as contributing to the process of modernization and training of companies in the agricultural sector and their transformation and commercialization”, adds Vicentina.
