Portimonense, Olhanense and Farense go ahead in the Cup of Portugal

Portimonense and Olhanense won on penalties, Farense thrashed

Portimonense, Farense and Olhanense won their games in the 3rd qualifying round of the Portuguese Cup, which were played this Sunday, and are going forward in the competition. Louletano was the only team in the Algarve to be out of the way in this round.

Farense was the team that had the most peaceful afternoon, as they went to Cinfães, who are playing in the district championship of the Associação de Futebol de Viseu, to win 0-4.

Pedro Henrique scored two goals (26′ and 45′), Cristian Ponde one (76′), and Farense also benefited from an own goal by Fraga (37′).

Olhanense, on the other hand, only got the victory, traveling to Castro Daire, in the Portuguese Championship, in the penalty shoot-out.

The Algarvian team always ran behind the scoreboard, throughout the ninety minutes, having achieved the tie that took the game to extra time, in the 88th minute, through Pedro Paz.

In extra time, there were no goals and, in penalties, the rubronegros were more accurate and won by 1-4.

It was also in the penalty shootout that Portimonense ensured the passage to the next stage. The Alvinegros were the last Algarve team to enter the field, in Oliveira de Azeméis, against Oliveirense, in a great football match, which ended with a 3-3 at the end of extra time.

Renato Junior scored both goals for Alvinegros in regulation time, and the third goal, in extra time, was an own goal by Simão Fernandes.

From the 11-meter mark, Paulo Sérgio's team always scored, Iranian goalkeeper Payam stopped Kazuya Onohara's attempt and Portimonense won by 4-5.

Yesterday, Saturday, Louletano was out of the way, after losing 1-2, at Estádio Algarve, against Estrela da Amadora. The Algarvian team scored first, just after 9 minutes, by Alvarinho, allowing themselves to tie and, in added time, allowed the turnaround in the marker.
