The consignment of the work of electrification of the Algarve Line, in the section between Faro and Vila Real de Santo António, is signed next Tuesday, at 11:00 am, with the presence of Pedro Nuno Santos.
The minister of Infrastructure and Housing will participate at this moment, which will take place at the Vila Real de Santo António Railway Station.
As for the other section of the Line, between Tunes and Lagos, Infraestruturas de Portugal launched, last June, a tender for the expansion of the Electric Traction Substation (SST) in Tunis.
This work will be essential to allow the electrification of the section.
