MOJU launches “TECER Olhão” platform to encourage networking and mental health

Initiative to be launched on World Mental Health Day

“TECER Olhão” is the name of a platform that the MOJU – Youth Movement Association in Olhão will launch this Sunday, October 10, to promote networking and the promotion of mental health.

The date chosen is not innocent: October 10th is World Mental Health Day

TECER Olhão is a digital platform for collaborative networking in this municipality, being an «innovative tool, aimed at professionals and entities of the social network, which aims to facilitate partnership work and inter-institutional articulation, contributing to enhance the community's resources and to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of existing responses and intervention processes in the municipality and its four parishes».

“The approach between community entities and their professionals constitutes an important strategy for promoting mental health, which increases the capacity to prevent early risk factors and promote protective factors in childhood and adolescence,” explains the MOJU.

The development of this digital tool is part of the SER Mental Project, an Innovation and Social Entrepreneurship Initiative co-financed by Portugal Inovação Social, CRESC Algarve, Portugal 2020 and the European Social Fund, which has five local social investors: the Municipality of Olhão, the UF Moncarapacho-Fuseta, the Parish of Olhão, the Parish of Quelfes and the Parish of Pechão.
