Helena Madeira joins Silves Secondary School students in a Geopalcos concert

The initiative will take place this Saturday, October 9th, at 18 pm, in the external auditorium of the riverside area of ​​Silves

The “Margins” concert, a symbiosis between music and the performing arts, will join the harpist Helena Madeira to the students of Escola Secundária de Silves, in an initiative taking place this Saturday, 9th October, at 18 pm, in the external auditorium of the riverside area of ​​Silves, behind FISSUL, within the scope of the Geopalcos Festival.

The public will be invited to watch the creation of an artistic installation developed by the 11th grade students of the Visual Arts class at the Silves Secondary School, under the theme of awareness of environmental nature and territory, contextualized by the ethereal sounds of the harp and the singing.

Admission is free but limited to 50 people, complying with the guidelines of the General Directorate of Health for this type of show.

The Geopalcos Arte.Ciência.Natureza Festival is a biannual event that connects art, science and nature with and for people, designed from the collaboration and participation of populations and promoted by the aspiring Geoparque Algarvensis Loulé-Silves-Albufeira, through of the municipalities.

The project arose from an inter-municipal application, led by AMAL, bringing together the 16 Algarve municipalities and the Regional Directorate of Culture of the Algarve, which resulted in the “Bezaranha – Cultural Program in Network”, a program that partially ensures the financing of Geopalcos, using the Program Regional Operational of the Algarve (CRESC2020).
