“Baila Coração ao Som do Accordeão” back to Castro Marim

Initiative will resume its traditional dances this Saturday, October 16, at 21 pm, in Alta Mora

The program “Baila Coração ao Som do Accordeão” will resume its traditional dances this Saturday, 16th October, at 21 pm, in Alta Mora, returning after two years marked by absences, in an initiative organized by the municipality of Castro Marim.

«With the same authenticity of other times», the accordion evenings take place in various towns in the county, especially inland, seeking to «contribute to increasing the quality of life of these older and more isolated populations, bringing entertainment and providing an excellent pretext to socializing and physical exercise», says the municipality.

“I have always defended that this is one of the best ways to promote people's physical and psychological health, taking them activities and socializing. It is necessary to reopen the culture and return, with due pandemic care, to normal activities, because our mental health has suffered a lot with these two years of confinement», underlined Francisco Amaral, mayor of Castro Marim.

The program of “Baila Coração ao Som do Accordeão” continues on 23 October in Altura (former primary school) and on 30 in Furnazinhas, both at 21 pm.
