Portugal BMX Cup: Bruno Cogo and Rita Xufre dominate weekend in Portimão

Running at home, the CDP – Clube Bicross de Portimão team was the best of the weekend

Bruno Cogo (Paulinia Racing Bicicross), in junior/elite male, dominated on both days, in the fifth and sixth rounds of the Portuguese BMX Cup, which was played at the weekend in Portimão.

In the women's +15, it was Rita Xufre (Núcleo Bicr/oss de Setúbal/knowledge inside) who stood out in relation to her opponents.

Bruno Cogo (Paulinia Racing Bicicross) was the featured runner in this competition weekend in Portimão, by winning both rounds. On Saturday, Kayo Camilo (Linda a Pastora Sporting Clube) was second, followed by Renato Silva (Team BMX Quarteira) in third.

In the sixth round, played this Sunday, Renato Silva ascended to second place and goes to the last rounds of the Portuguese Cup in the leadership of the ranking. Pedro Amaral (CBP/Clube Bicross de Portimão) finished the podium in third position.

In the 15+ female category, Rita Xufre (Setubal Bicross Nucleus/knowledge inside) completely dominated, winning both rounds, and thus holding the lead in the ranking. Matilde Melo (Linda a Pastora Sporting Clube) occupied second place both on Saturday and today.

Sirlei Lopes (Master 40 Women) was third in the fifth round, with Catarina Veríssimo (Team BMX Quarteira) managing to beat her opponent today, to win a place on the podium.

The remaining categories were also quite balanced over the weekend, with Bernardo Rocha (AEBTT Rio/Mr.Print) standing out in male cadets.
Leonor Carvalho (Setúbal Bicross Nucleus/knowledge inside) won in both rounds in the 13/14-year-old female category, Íris Moraru (CBP/Clube Bicross de Portimão) in 9/12 and Rita Melo (Linda a Pastora Sporting Clube) in 5/8 years.

In the school categories, in youth it was André Ribeiro (CBP/Clube Bicross de Portimão) to win the two rounds, in children it was André Muller (CBP/Clube Bicross de Portimão) to win and in beginners it was Gonçalo Ribeiro (CBP/ Clube Bicross de Portimão) to conquer the victory. In the benjamins, the victory went to Gonçalo Martins (Team BMX Quarteira) and in the pupils he won Tomás Cardoso (AEBTT Rio/Mr.Print).

In the veterans categories, in cruiser+40 it was Paulo Domingues (Individual) to dominate, in cruiser 30/39 Fábio Jorge (Casa Myzé Team) conquered the victory and in male masters the highlight was Carlos Rosado (CBP/Clube Bicross de Portimão ).

Running at home, the team CDP – Clube Bicross de Portimão was the best of the weekend.

The last rounds of the Portuguese BMX Cup will be played in Quarteira on the 9th and 10th of October.
