Ilídio Rodrigues Neto, former president of the Algoz Parish Council, died this Tuesday, September 28, aged 92.
The mayor served as president from 1980 to 1982 and from 1986 to 1989, elected by the PSD lists.
The Chamber of Silves has already gone public to lament the death of Ilídio Rodrigues Neto.
“As a mayor, he leaves memories and acts that will perpetuate his memory with the population of his homeland and local government bodies,” writes the municipality.
Also the União de Freguesias de Algoz and Tunes has already reacted to the death of the former president.
"In the performance of his duties he fought perseveringly to improve the infrastructure and living conditions of the people of Algoz, undeniably helping to build a better place in which we are now happy to live", he wrote in a post on Facebook.
The funeral takes place this Friday, October 1st, at 15 pm, at the Igreja Matriz in Algoz.
