Monthly market and flea market return to Portimão in October

Events were suspended due to the pandemic

The monthly market and fortnightly fairs for old goods will return to the Parque de Feiras e Exposições de Portimão in early October, after "a long period of suspension" due to the pandemic, announced the municipality.

In this way, the monthly market will be held again on the first Monday of each month, from October 4th, from 8:00 am to 15:00 pm.

At this event, visitors can purchase «clothing, footwear, hardware, jewelry, seasonal fruit and vegetables, cheeses, sausages and much more».

The day before, on the 3rd of October, a Sunday, between 8:30 am and 12:30 pm, the flea market returns, «retaking a habit that, in this place, dates back to July 2001».

«Since then, it has consolidated and has become a very frequented event, where you can find items for all tastes and purses, in a pleasant, clean and safe place, bringing together many customers looking for used products, antique and antique collectors. other specific items, such as stamps, postcards or coins”, according to the Portimão Chamber.

"The October 3 edition will be held exclusively with operators with tickets purchased in March 2020 and who have not been able, since then, to participate in this fair, and new tickets are not being marketed for this date."

Ticket sales for future fairs – the next will be on the 17th – will start on October 4th, and interested parties should reserve their space in the administrative area of ​​Mercados de Portimão, operating at the Mercado da Avenida São João of God (floor 1) from Monday to Friday, from 9:00 am to 13:00 pm and from 14:00 pm to 16:30 pm.
