Lagoa: Morgado do Quintão opens its doors to an event that celebrates the end of the harvest

Harfeast brings together local produce, live music and wines

Morgado do Quintão will open the doors of its estate, on the 9th and 10th of October, for the first edition of Harfeast, a weekend to celebrate the end of the harvest.

According to the promoters, «this event, where there will be no shortage of good wines, gastronomy with a focus on local products, live music and good conversation, results from the desire to share what has already been achieved at Morgado do Quintão, since the first harvest in 2016» .

The farm gates open at 17 pm on Saturday 00, «for an evening that begins at sunset over the Monchique mountains. While preparing an Iberian pig on a skewer, created in a 9% natural way by the Algarve project Feito no Zambujal, Tomás Cunha takes to the stage
Ferreira & Branca, a father-daughter musical duo, deeply inspired by Stevie Wonder, Stevie Nick and Rita Lee».

Then there are Compotas, an Algarve band, which «will heat up the night with a record of soul and funk».

Palhete '19 (Crato Branco & Negramole), an “iconic wine” from Morgado do Quintão, will be the harvest served to accompany the evening's festivities.

On Sunday, «under a 2000-year-old olive tree, the award-winning chef André Fernandes, from the Attla restaurant (Lisbon), will prepare a special lunch. The creations of the young chef, who has already worked with Michelin chefs such as the illustrious Alain Ducasse, will be paired with the award-winning wines of Morgado do Quintão».

After lunch, «everyone will be invited to participate in a vintage celebration, lasting about 15 minutes, for the production of a first of the product, the new “Colheita Tardia 2021”».

“Both our community and our legacy are important to us. Five years later, we think the time has come to celebrate what we've done so far. That's why we created Harfeast, our end of harvest event, where we intend to bring together our community and all those who helped us take our work further at Morgado do Quintão, and all food and wine lovers», he explains. Filipe Caldas de Vasconcellos, guardian of the farm.

Seats are limited. Tickets for the Saturday event (40 euros) and Sunday lunch (85 euros) are available here.
