Lagoa Sacred Music Festival kicks off with a harpsichord recital

The musician will propose a musical journey from the Renaissance to Portuguese Baroque

The 1st edition of the Lagoa Sacred Music Festival starts on the 10th of October, with a harpsichord recital by Jorge Félix, starting at 17 pm, at the Igreja da Misericórdia. 

The musician will propose a musical journey from the Renaissance to Portuguese Baroque, interpreting works by various composers such as: Pedro de Escobar, António Carreira, Pedro de Gamboa, Manuel Correia do Campo and Pedro de Araújo.

This initiative aims to «promote the religious artistic heritage of Lagoa, decentralize concert venues throughout the municipality and publicize religious spaces, artists, instruments and works by Portuguese and foreign composers», says the association Ideias do Levante, which organizes the festival .

Admission is free, but limited to the capacity of each space. To attend the in-person concerts it is necessary to make a reservation via 282 380 434.

This event will follow the safety standards of the General Directorate of Health.
