About 180 teachers and non-teaching workers at the schools were tested with covid-19 between September 06 and 17, with a positive rate of 0,12%, the Ministry of Education announced today.
«In accordance with the opinion of the Directorate-General for Health (DGS), to carry out a screening to covid-19 in the school community at the start of the school year, around 180 tests were carried out on teaching and non-teaching workers of all education and teaching establishments», the Ministry of Education said in a statement.
According to the Ministry supervised by Tiago Brandão Rodrigues, in the «first phase of this sweep, which took place between 06 and 17 September, the positivity rate was 0,12%».
The Ministry of Education advances even though the second phase of the testing operation began today, which will last until October 1st and involves secondary school students, followed by students from the third cycle of basic education, according to the opinion of the DGS from last August.
