This second edition of the forum "will bring together regional entities linked to the subject and food specialists in an alert to this issue, which is so current on a world scale", begins by saying the municipality of Portimão.

"Agricultural production in the Algarve, the differences between the shelf life of products and the importance of water will be some of the topics in focus at the forum."

The event is free to participate, and registration is mandatory through this link.

The closing session will include the participation of Francisco Mello e Castro, coordinator of the United Against Waste Movement, Isabel Jonet, president of the Federation of Food Banks in Portugal, Miguel José Sardinha Oliveira Cardo, deputy general director of the General Directorate of Food and Veterinary Medicine, and José Apolinário, president of the Algarve Regional Coordination and Development Commission (CCDR).

In parallel to the event, at Café Concerto do TEMPO, the exhibition “Sustainable Art” can be appreciated, which brings together works developed from the recycling of food packaging, by users of some beneficiary institutions of the Algarve's Food Bank Against Hunger.
