A former student at the University of Algarve, he is the new president of the Polytechnic of Portalegre

Luís Loures was unanimously elected

Luís Carlos Loures, double graduated at the University of Algarve, institution where he also earned his doctorate, was elected president of the Polytechnic of Portalegre for the 2021/2025 quadrennium, on 8 September.

The General Council of the Polytechnic of Portalegre, composed of 22 elements, unanimously elected the UAlg alumni, after a public hearing, revealed to UAlg, which wished "very successful academic votes" to its former student.

Luís Loures has a degree in Landscape Architecture (2000/2005) and in Agronomy (2013/2015) from the Faculty of Science and Technology (FCT) of UAlg, and a PhD from the same Faculty in Environmental Sciences and Technologies (2006/2011) – Domain Scientific Studies of Environmental Sciences and Technologies, Urban Planning Specialty.
