Back: Louletano cyclist finishes 2nd stage in 9th place, Gustavo Veloso remains in the top 10 overall

This Saturday, August 7th, the Volta a Portugal has another stage: the 3rd that will connect Sertã to Covilhã (Torre), covering a total of 170,3 kilometers.

Tomas Contte (Louletano – Loulé Concelho) finished in 9th place the 2nd stage of the Volta a Portugal by bicycle, which connected, this Friday, 6th of August, Ponte de Sôr to Castelo Branco.

The shot was won by Kyle Murphy, Rally Cycling cyclist, with a time of 3 hours, 57 minutes and 49 seconds.

Contte, who was the best representative of the Algarve teams, arrived with the group that came behind, finishing 17 seconds behind Murphy.

As for the individual overall, it continues to be led by Rafael Reis (Efapel). Gustavo Veloso (Tuna General-Tavira-Maria Nova Hotel) is in 7th place, at 22 seconds.

Portimonian Emanuel Duarte, who was in 10th place, left the first places.
