Startup Portimão celebrates 4 years with «two inspiring talks»

Carlos Miguel, Assistant Secretary of State and Regional Development, is expected to attend the closing session

Startup Portimão celebrates four years of existence this Tuesday, August 10th, with «inspiring talks» in which Melissa Rito (REJOICE be genuine) and Pedro Esteves (Link-a-Ring) will be protagonists , two of the most recent entrepreneurs in the municipality's incubator. The closing ceremony is expected to be attended by Carlos Miguel, Assistant Secretary of State and Regional Development.

In the opening session, scheduled for 16:30 pm, Luís Matos Martins will review four years of StartUp Portimão and present the achievements and vision of the future of the Portimão incubator, in a ceremony attended by the president of the Algarve Tourism Region João Fernandes and the chairman of the Regional Coordination and Development Commission of the Algarve José Apolinário.

The first talk will be in charge of Melissa Rito, who will publicize the matrixes of REJOICE be genuine, a company based on the 'farm-to-truck' philosophy and which offers the best ingredients, produced by small farmers and national producers.

The idea is to provide the experience and sharing of experiences related to gastronomy, culture and well-being, while the company intends to increase individual and collective awareness for a more sustainable future.

As for Pedro Esteves, he will talk about his consulting company in the restaurant sector Link-a-Ring, which he created with Teresa Sequeira and Joana Esteves.

Located in Aldeia do Carrasco, this space has implemented a temporary kitchen rental solution on the market, allowing, without initial investment, anyone to test their product or restaurant concept, without the risk of losing the amount invested.

In addition to this new concept, Link-a-Ring has recently created Bombburgers Faro, a brand of handmade hamburgers, as well as iTi Poke, which is the Poke Bar Digital in the city of Portimão.

The closing ceremony, presided over by Filipe Vital, vice-president of the Portimão City Council, is expected to be attended by the Assistant Secretary of State and Regional Development Carlos Miguel.
