José Carlos Rolo, mayor of Albufeira, was urgently hospitalized with a lung infection, the local authority informed this Wednesday, 25 August.
In a statement, the Chamber explains that José Carlos Rolo "was on a short vacation" and that he is hospitalized "under treatment and observation".
The hospitalization “was not caused by reasons of Covid-19”, adds the municipality.
In the same note, the City Council of Albufeira says that, as soon as there is new information, it will communicate it "immediately".
