Portimonense lost against Boavista by 2-0 and was thus eliminated from the League Cup. The match took place this Sunday night, 1st of August, at Estádio do Bessa, in Porto.

Despite the rain, bad weather did not prevent Boavista from scoring early.

Tiago Morais fired counting at 8 minutes in a beautiful move by the checkered formation with Mangas throwing to Yusupha who crossed low for Tiago to shoot at the far post.

The goalkeeper of the Algarvian team still ruled out the young player's shot, but the referee eventually signaled the goal as the ball went over the line.

At 21 minutes Aylton Boa Morte did everything well, but ended up allowing the cut by Javi García.

Half an hour into the game, Carlinhos made a pressed shot against Jackson Porozo. At second he tried to serve Renato Júnior, but Bracali, faster, prevented his compatriot's submission.

Javi García also tried the header after a free-kick, in the 35th minute, but went out to Samuel.

In the second half, Tiagos Morais scored again in the 73rd minute, free-marking, after a cross into Hamache's area. The ball still bounced off Willyan, but Samuel couldn't catch it.

Portimonense also ends up being on the way to winning the League Cup, after Farense lost this afternoon on penalties against Santa Clara.
