Fish and dolphins stand out after restoration of mosaics in the Ruins of Milreu

Restoration and conservation started in February and ended ahead of schedule


Between tesserae and mortar, several mosaics from the Roman Ruins of Milreu, in Estoi (Faro), were subject to restoration and conservation. Work began in February, it was expected to last eight months, but ended sooner: in July.

This was Phase B of the Conservation Project Requalification of the Roman Ruins of Milreu, which has the support of the CRESC Algarve 2020 Program.

O Sul Informação he went to visit the Roman Ruins of Milreu after the works were completed, spoke with Adriana Nogueira, regional director of Culture of the Algarve, and showed him everything.
