F Nights Invites to «unique concerts» at Largo da Sé de Faro

Opening of the nights is in charge of Southmusic bands

Pedro Abrunhosa accompanied by the Orquestra Clássica do Sul, the Algarve Jazz Orchestra reinventing themes by Áurea or Carolina Deslandes and DAMA sharing the stage with Bárbara Tinoco and Agir. These are the «unique concerts» that “Noites F Invites” will offer between the 3rd and 5th of September, at Largo da Sé, in Faro.

After a period of indecision about whether to proceed with the event, due to the pandemic situation, Festival F will even be marked, but in a different format from last year, when the concerts took place three days a week, in August and September.

In 2021, the bet was to hold the event «on the dates that would be the Festival F. There will be three nights with concerts that have never been done, different and exclusive, always with the first show of the night in charge of a Southmusic project», revealed Paulo Santos, vice president of the Chamber of Faro, to Sul Informação.

The name has also changed and the “F Nights” are now called “F Invites Nights”. «Why Invite? Because every night there is a band here that invites another for a unique concert».

On the first night, on the 3rd, after the opening with the Farense Yuka, Pedro Abrunhosa invites the Orquestra Clássica do Sul.

On the 4th, after Teresa Aleixo's performance, the Algarve Jazz Orchestra invites Áurea, Carolina Deslandes, Marisa Liz and Rita Redshoes.

In this case, «the Orquestra de Jazz do Algarve will adapt three songs by each of the singers, chosen by them, giving it a more jazzy look», says Paulo Santos.

Finally, on the third and last night, after opening with Fernando Leal, also from Faro, the DAMA invite Bárbara Bandeira, Bárbara Tinoco, Agir, Irma and Tainá, to close the F Nights.

The venue's capacity will be "similar to last year, with 960 seats", and, as it is an outdoor event and with a capacity of less than one thousand people, it is not necessary to present a negative test to Covid-19 at the entrance, or certificate digital.

The concerts take place at 21 pm, with tickets going on sale "later this week".
