MAR2020 has a 63% execution in the Algarve

At the national level, the execution is at 56%

The level of execution of projects in the Algarve that saw European funding approved by the Operational Program Mar2020 reached 63% in June, revealed the Regional Directorate of Agriculture and Fisheries of the Algarve.

Nationally, the execution rate is 56%.

In all, 673 projects were approved in the Algarve, representing «an investment of 83 million euros in the region and public support of 58 million euros».

«Of the projects approved and in execution, DRAP Algarve, as an intermediary body of the Programme, highlights the projects of Priority 1, aimed at promoting Sustainable, Efficient, Innovative and Competitive Aquaculture, and Priority 5, which promotes the Marketing and Transformation of Fisheries and Aquaculture Products”, according to the regional management.

The operational program Mar 2020, which is part of Portugal 2020, «aims to implement the support measures included in the European Fund for Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (FEAMP), with the promotion of competitiveness and economic sustainability among its priorities. , social and environmental, as well as increasing territorial cohesion'.
