The announcement was made by Graça Freitas, at a press conference, saying that «the DGS recommends the vaccination of all adolescents from 12 to 15 years of age», without the need for medical advice.

The general director of Health explained that the "technical decision" was taken today, but the exact date when the vaccination of children and young people between 12 and 15 years old is still not known.

Even so, Graça Freitas revealed that, if it is not before the beginning of the school year, it will be “in the days to follow”.
