PS Congress takes place this weekend in Portimão

This congress was scheduled for May 30 and 31, 2020, but the pandemic forced it to be postponed

The 23rd Congress of the Socialist Party takes place this weekend, 28th and 29th of August, in Portimão Arena, in person.

According to the PS, «for the unanimous decision of the COC – Congress Organizing Committee, to approve the last date approved by the National Committee, it was relevant» the advance of vaccination in Portugal, with more than 70% of the population fully inoculated.

"In addition, the rules stipulated by the DGS already allow the public to return to major events", say the socialists.

In this way, the Congress “will be held with adequate physical distance between delegates, respecting the rules of health authorities and with access subject to presentation of the vaccination certificate or test carried out at the entrance”.

«The remote participation is also safeguarded, guaranteeing, by digital means, the right to accreditation, to the request to speak and to participate in voting», concludes the PS.
