From August 19th to September 5th, art and music will liven up the Forte do Beliche, in Sagres.
This space will thus host the plastic arts exhibition “Criações do Vento”, which includes a set of original works of art by eight artists from the municipality of Vila do Bispo.
Ana Bellande, Janete Akemi, Manuela Caneco, Maria Paula Correia, Michael Gottfried Herrmann, Paula Curi Garnett, Søren Ernst, and Tineke Smit are the artists who, embracing the challenge of being inspired by the emotional relationship that unites them to the council, created the works now presented to the public, in the areas of linocut, sculpture, painting and decorative arts.
Simultaneously, the days at the Forte will be energized with various artistic and cultural workshops, led by resident and guest artists, who will challenge the public to try out different techniques in practice and create their own works of art.
Music is also present, with a program that proposes musical shows of different sounds.
Forte do Beliche will be open on Thursdays and Fridays, between 10:00 and 18:00, and on Saturdays and Sundays, between 14:00 and 21:00.
“Criações do Vento” is an initiative organized by the Municipality of Vila do Bispo, part of the program “Bezaranha – There are winds that come for good!”, financed by the Algarve2020 Operational Program and FEDER- European Regional Development Fund.
