Algarve Tourism Association participates in the event for the first time

This week, Turismo do Algarve is promoting itself at Loop Summer 2021, a Luxury Travel Show, in Frankfurt, exclusively aimed at markets such as Germany, Austria and Switzerland and bringing together the main agents in the sector dedicated to the segment of the Algarve. luxury tourism.

In a note sent to the newsrooms, the Algarve Tourism Association (ATA) explains that it “wants to attract travelers who appreciate a different kind of tourism based on authentic experiences. The reinforcement of the investment in this segment is one of the solutions found for a greater sustainable development of tourism in the region».

«The promotion of the region among travelers seeking quality, exclusivity and differentiating experiences has been one of the Algarve Tourism's bets, with a view to the sustainable development of the region as a tourist destination», highlights the ATA.

In the current context of pandemic, «this bet sees its importance reinforced, as, more than ever, the growth in value and the consolidation of the perception of the differentiated quality of the offer in the region compared to the main competing destinations are among the main objectives that Turismo do Algarve intends to achieve», he adds.

«We have been intensifying the effort to attract tourists from a medium/high segment, with purchasing power, who appreciate a more sustainable tourism and less sensitive to the price factor», explains João Fernandes, president of Turismo do Algarve.

«The presence at Loop Summer 2021, where we are participating for the first time, assumes, therefore, a strategic relevance, considering that it allows us to contact directly with travel agencies and tour operators specialized in this type of tourism and that work with the market Germany, the second most expressive foreign market for our region, after the United Kingdom», continues the official.

In this context, Turismo do Algarve «is committed to making the experience of those who visit the region even richer, more authentic and more emotional».
