Alcoutim City Council, within the scope of its education policy and school social action, will grant support relating to food and economic assistance to children and students in the municipality. The decision was deliberated at a meeting of the municipal executive held this Wednesday, 26 August.
Thus, with regard to food, the municipality "will pay for lunch for all children attending the nursery, nursery, pre-school, ATL, 1st, 2nd and 3rd cycles in schools and kindergartens in the county", says the municipality in a note sent to newsrooms.
The payment for lunches for children who attend the nursery, nursery, pre-school and ATL, in the municipality of Alcoutim, will be extended to school vacation periods, while children from the 1st, 2nd and 3rd cycles will be paid the non-cofunded amount. by the Ministry of Education.
As for individual economic aid, “aid in the amount of 90 euros will be given to all students in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd cycles and in the amount of 100 euros to all students attending secondary and vocational education.
Students who attend a CET (Technological Specialization course) or a CTSP (Superior Professional Technical Course) will receive support in the amount of 300 euros.
With regard to school transport, the executive decided to “transport all children from the 1st, 2nd and 3rd cycles free of charge and support the full amount of passes for students attending secondary and vocational education, as long as previously requested”, concludes the municipality.
