Salir Producers Win Shared Cuisine

Local producers in the interior of Loulé who need a space to transform their products can now sign up for the “Shared Kitchen of Salir” project.

The Loulé Council will launch this «shared-use space, at the service of the community of producers, which will allow those who are unable to transform their products, in their own licensed space, to use this new infrastructure with basic equipment and all the necessary necessary requirements and placing them on the market in small quantities'.

«It covers the kitchen area, also associating the areas of packaging, reception of raw materials, preparation, confection and labeling», states the municipality.

{Play}The equipment is intended to "create value in locally produced products, allowing them to test their market and their viability, before producers move towards high investments".

The "Shared Kitchen of Salir" may also be made available for holding workshops to demonstrate the use of local products, "as a way of disseminating and demonstrating the potential of endogenous resources, visits and training actions for producers and processors in the food field" .

The first application period is open until the 27th of August, by filling out a form that must be requested from the Division of Local Economy, Commerce and Tourism of the Municipality of Loulé, via telephone 289 400 829 or email gae@cm- loule.pt.

It is also through these contacts that additional information can be obtained, namely the list of eligible CAEs. The rules for using this space are available on the Câmara de Loulé website.

The “Shared Kitchen of Salir” is a facility financed by PADRE – Support Program for the Development of Endogenous Resources, within the scope of CRESC Algarve, and “is part of a strategy that aims to enhance the creation of value in endogenous products, through its transformation".
