Therefore, the mayor demands that «the Directorate-General of Health corrects this situation today, in time to not harm the economic activity of the county, with serious damage to local restaurants and hotels, as well as all the normality of the day. day of the population of this mountain council with about 400 square kilometers».
Claiming to be waiting for a quick response from the Government and the Directorate-General for Health, Rui André also announced that, as part of the set of measures to support commerce and local restaurants that it has been implementing, the Municipality of Monchique will «distribute 1000 rapid screening tests at Covid-19, today, in order to minimize the impact of these absurd impositions and keep the entire local restoration up and running and safe».
"These tests can be requested by entrepreneurs in the municipality's restaurant and hotel industry for application to their customers, thus allowing them access to the interior space of these establishments," he added.
Entrepreneurs must request the tests to the City Council, indicating the maximum capacity of their spaces, for delivery and examples of how to carry out the tests.
