a common dolphin already lifeless gave this Thursday afternoon to the coast, on the west side of Praia de Faro.

The boldness caught the attention of many vacationers, who took the opportunity to see the cetacean up close and take photographs.

Contacted by Sul Informação, Jan Dirk Hoffman, Cterrain coordinator of the Algarve Arrojamentos Network, revealed that the hurlings of common dolphins are not rare, taking into account that, as the name indicates, they are the species that most occurs on the southern coast of Portugal.

These dolphins can be found “from the Strait of Gibraltar to the Costa Vicentina”.

As for the causes of death of the specimen that today threw to Praia de Faro, which is already in an advanced state of decomposition, Jan Hofman says he cannot indicate it, at least for now.
