Algarvians Isaac Nader and Etson Barros win medals at the European Under-23 Athletics Championships

In these Europeans, a Portuguese athlete won a medal: Leandro Ramos got silver in the javelin throw

This weekend, July 10th and 11th, the Algarve athletes Isaac Nader and Etson Barros won two medals at the European Under-23 Athletics Championships, held in Tallinn (Estonia). 

Farense Isaac Nader was the first to achieve the much-desired medal on Saturday.

The athlete won bronze, in the final of 1500 meters, with a time of 3.40,48 minutes. The race was won by Ruben Verheyden, from Belgium.

Etson Barros, on the other hand, got the silver medal, in the 3 meter hurdle race.

Born in Olhão, the athlete finished the final in 8.38 minutes, even setting a new personal record.

Besides being the two from the Algarve, Isaac Nader and Etson Barros have the particularity of also representing the same club: Benfica.

In these Europeans, there was a Portuguese athlete to collect a medal. Leandro Ramos got silver in the javelin throw.
