Alcoutim launches the brand «Turismo de Fronteira», combining fado and flamenco in a single night

Brand aims to boost the tourist growth of both counties on the edge of the Guadiana

The brand “Turismo de Fronteira”, a project that brings together the Municipalities of Alcoutim and Sanlúcar de Guadiana in partnership, is presented this Saturday, at 17:00 (Portuguese time), in that Algarvean village.

The brand, as explained by the Municipality of Alcoutim, appears within the scope of a «local development strategy, which aims to boost the municipality's tourist growth».

The presentation session will take place at Espaço Guadiana, in Alcoutim, and will be dedicated to tour operators in cross-border regions, to promote the project. At the ceremony, the presidents of both municipalities will be present.

Tonight, at 21 pm (Portuguese time), as part of that same strategy, the “Noite de Fado e Flamenco” will take place at Praça da República, in Alcoutim.

The program begins with a brief presentation of the “Border Tourism” brand to the population of both municipalities.

The night continues with several musical moments: a concert in the voice of the fado singer Marta Alves, a flamenco show with Cuadro Flamenco Pura Esencia, and animation with DJ set Delírios Ibéricos and Perro Andaluz.

The events will be carried out in accordance with the indications of the General Directorate of Health.
