UAlg is once again among the best young universities in the world

UAlg ranks between positions 201 and 250

The University of Algarve is, for the fourth time, in the Times Higher Education (THE) Young University Rankings, which analyzes the performance of higher education institutions created 50 years ago or less. In this 2021 edition, among the eight Portuguese higher education institutions that make up this ranking, UAlg stands out in the indicator that assesses international projection.

As the Algarve academy explains, “THE's list only indicates the exact place of institutions up to the 100th position, from which they are classified by large intervals, without hierarchy”.

The University of Algarve emphasizes that, «despite the increase in the competitiveness of this ranking, UAlg is classified between the 201 and 250 positions. (475), compared to 2020 (414), and from countries, from 66, last year, to 68, in 2021».

The 13 indicators evaluated are the same used in the Times Higher Education World Ranking of Universities and are organized around five major areas: the quality of teaching and research, citations of scientific articles produced, their relationship with industry or the international projection.
