Secretary of State visited first 5-star hotel in Faro which opens in June

This hotel is located in the heart of downtown Faro, in an iconic location

Rita Marques, Secretary of State for Tourism, visited this Monday, June 14, 3HB, the first 5-star hotel in Faro, which will open, under soft opening, still during this month of June.

Accompanied by a delegation composed of José Brazão, owner of this new hotel unit, by the president of the Chamber of Faro and by the president of the Algarve Tourism Region, the government official took the opportunity to get to know the various spaces of the 3HB Faro which, in addition to 104 rooms of different types, has two restaurants, two bars, spa with indoor pool, gym, pool and outdoor fireplace, kids corner, among other spaces and services.

This hotel is located in the heart of downtown Faro, in an iconic place that was linked to the former Cine-Teatro de Santo António (built in 1916 and refurbished in 1953) and the Cinema de Santo António (demolished in 2001), or more recently, the Atrium shopping centre, which, in addition to other spaces commercials, it also had movie theaters.

As part of this visit by Secretary of State for Tourism Rita Marques to Faro and the region was also carried out by the head of the Culture division of the Municipality of Faro Bruno Inácio, a short presentation of the candidacy of Faro the European Capital of Culture in 2027.

On the occasion «the regional character of this project and its potential impact on the development of the region in the most varied sectors was underlined, with natural emphasis on the Tourism sector, where the Algarve has an undeniable weight at the national level», says the Chamber of Faro.
