Most loyal restaurants “win” the Algarve Wines seal

Campaign aimed at «increasing the perception of value and differentiation of wines of local origin»

The CVA – Algarve Wine Commission decided to distinguish the restaurants that best promote the region's wines, through the attribution of a seal that recognizes them as official promoters of Algarve Wines.

To receive it, all the restaurants need to send by email, to [email protected], their Wine List, where, once eligibility is confirmed, this seal can be applied, as in the windows of each of these establishments .

According to the CVA, «the seal reflects the brand image of the Algarve wines, in a modern style, attractive and illustrative of the region, which conveys to its customers and consumers a relationship of proximity and trust, with a view to increasing the perception of value and differentiation of wines of local origin».

This campaign also aims to “show the market the union and cohesion of the different economic agents in the region, while simultaneously highlighting wine producers and restaurants, by certifying the genuineness and quality of their products”.

The Algarve Wine Commission has been accredited since 2012 for the certification of wine products with the Lagos, Portimão, Lagoa and Tavira Designation of Origin and the Algarve Geographical Indication. It has registered, over the last few years, a positive evolution in terms of the increase in the number of producers, vineyard area, production and quality of wines.
