A total of 28 concerts with local artists will take place in Olhão, between the 5th of June and the 30th of July, in an initiative of the Câmara Olhão integrated in the Bezaranha project – cultural network programming that brings together the 16 municipalities of the Algarve.
Artists of various musical styles and for all audiences, such as Viviane, Domingos Caetano (Íris), Fernando Leal, Luís Guilherme, Contra Current, The Black Teddys, Insane, Reverse, Hernâni Kalash, pass through the various physical and digital stages. Infante, Denzel, Ricky B, 33 LM, Quintento Sulla'a Corda, Luís Conceição, M90, Jorge Alves, Susana Neves and Luís Infante.
The musical shows, which always take place at 21 pm, take place in June and July, live and outdoors or through digital platforms.
Moncarapacho is the first location to offer music to the population, in an organization from the Municipality of Olhão that has the support of the Regional Directorate of Culture and other cultural agents in the region to implement yet another joint project in the area of culture. On Saturday, June 5th, Largo da Igreja de Moncarapacho will be the stage for performances by the M90, Jorge Alves, Susana Neves and Luís Infante.
On the 11th of June, Largo da Restauração, in front of the Igreja Matriz in Olhão, welcomes two classical music performers: the Quinteto Sull'a Corda (chamber music) and Luís Conceição (piano concert).
And on Saturday, June 12, it is in the parish of Pechão that the municipality of Olhão continues to play music, this time in the local Church Largo with Reverse, Hernâni Kalash and Infante.
The Escola EB 2,3 João da Rosa, in the parish of Quelfes, hosts concerts by Contra Corrente, The Black Teddys and Insane on the 19th, while on the night of the 26th the music will be heard at the Fuseta polysport, where they perform Denzel, Ricky B and 33 LM.
In July, the nights continue to offer a lot of music in Olhão. In Largo da Restauração, in front of the Municipal Museum, on the 3rd, the unmistakable artists Viviane, Domingos Caetano and Fernando Leal will perform.
The live music festival from Olhão ends on the night of July 10 at Praceta de Agadir, in the heart of the Cubist city, with a performance by Luís Guilherme.
This program, which will also include several online shows until 30 July, takes place within the scope of Bezaranha cultural project, which results from an application by AMAL (Comunidade Intermunicipal do Algarve) to the Algarve Regional Operational Program (CRESC Algarve 2020).
The online programming, which will be broadcast on the Facebook page of the Municipality of Olhão and Bezaranha, features the performances of Cristiano Martins (June 13), Lord Vegan (June 18), Luís François (June 25), Mel (2 of July), Luís Correia (July 9,), King Bizz (July 16), Generations (July 23), Fábio Lagarto (July 24) and Viriato Muata (July 30).
The project "Bezaranha – There are winds that come for good!” is promoted in partnership with the 16 Algarve municipalities and the Regional Directorate of Culture and covers a number of cultural initiatives and events in all municipalities, thus contributing to support local artists in each municipality, also carrying out itineraries between municipalities.
Its objective is to enhance the territory, namely with the promotion of outdoor events, which, on the one hand, allows to adapt events to the conditions of the pandemic reality and, on the other hand, to program cultural activity in monuments, historical places and even in unconventional locations. This project is also intended to boost cultural tourism and attract new audiences and visitors to the region, as a contribution to tourist activity and combating seasonality.
