The President of the Republic, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, praised the emigrants from Portugal and asked for those we welcome what we want for our people abroad.
Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa was speaking during a military ceremony commemorating the Day of Portugal, Camões and the Portuguese Communities, at Praça da Autonomia and Avenida do Mar, in Funchal, on the island of Madeira.
