Jorge Costa renewed his contract with Farense for a season and will be the coach of the Algarve in the next season 2021/2022. The coach's objective is to take the club «back to the I League, the place where it deserves to be».

«It is with great satisfaction that I announce my continuity in the Farense project, a situation that has never been in question. Since the game with Santa Clara, the thought and focus have been on the next season», said the coach.

Jorge Costa also thanked the president João Rodrigues, recently re-elected to the post, for the «trust deposited», as well as the «supporters, players and structure».

Former player and captain of FC Porto, Jorge Costa came to the coach of Farense in the middle of last season, unable to prevent the relegation of the division of the Algarve.
