IPDJ Algarve has open enrollment for the 3rd edition of “Música JA”

Applications for the contest will be open until 23 July

The contest “Música JA” is open for entries until the 23rd of July, in a bet on the new values ​​of music made by young people in the Algarve. This is another initiative of the 30th anniversary of the Youth Center of the Portuguese Sports and Youth Institute of the Algarve.

Projects, individual or in groups, of originals, of all genres, can be registered. They only have to be young people from the Algarve, from 14 to 35 years old, and those interested must send two songs in mp3 format with a duration of no more than 10 minutes.

This is an initiative of the IPDJ Algarve in partnership with the Municipal Councils of Lagoa, Faro and São Brás de Alportel, the Academic Association of the University of Algarve, the Recreational and Cultural Association of Musicians, FNAC Portugal, the Algarve University Radio (RUA FM), whose production is in charge of Mentecapta – Produções Audio.

The musical projects in the competition will be selected for the qualifiers, taking place in Faro on the 6th of August, in São Brás de Alportel the following day and the final in Lagoa on the 12th of August.

With regard to the awards, this year the four finalist projects will be entitled to concerts at events of the local authorities in Faro, São Brás de Alportel e Lagoa, of the Academic Association of the University of Algarve, in the Recreational and Cultural Association of Musicians, a ShowCase at FNAC Portugal, and also the inclusion of a theme in the programming of RUA FM.

The winning project will have the right to record an EP in digital format.
