Yesterday, the 23rd, the GNR seized 42 counterfeit items of various registered trademarks from a 34-year-old woman who was trying to sell them in Monte Gordo, in the municipality of Vila Real de Santo António.
The street vendor was surprised by a GNR patrol who, in addition to having seized the counterfeit material, identified the suspicion and referred the facts to the VRSA Court.
"The Guarda Nacional Republicana recalls that the main objective of this type of action is to ensure compliance with industrial property rights, essentially aimed at combating counterfeiting, illegal use of trademarks and the sale of counterfeit items," concluded the GNR.
