Documentary about the “Caminho dos Promontórios” will premiere in Carvoeiro

There will also be a guided walk between the Ponta do Altar and Alfanzina lighthouses

The official launch of the documentary “Caminho dos Promontórios” will take place at Largo do Forte de Nossa Senhora da Encarnação, in Carvoeiro, on the 25th of June, at 21 pm, as part of the celebrations for the Centenary of Farol of Alfanzina.

The documentary “Path of the promontories” is the account of a walk led by the “Walker” along a stretch of the coast of Lagoa.

The walker's tour begins in autumn and crosses the four seasons of the year, to make known the natural, historical-cultural and scenic values ​​that characterize these seven kilometers of the county's west coast.

O FaroThe farmer, the Walker's Friend, the Passeante, the Archaeologist, the Biologist, the Geographer and the Fisherman help the protagonist to better understand the territory traversed by this route. Finally, the Walker discovers that there is more than one way to travel the Way of the Promontories.

Access is free but subject to seating capacity. The documentary will be premiered simultaneously on communication channels and social networks in the municipality of Lagoa.

Also part of the centenary commemorations, on Saturday, June 26, at 17 pm, there will be the guided walk «Entre Faros», which will take the participants of the Farol from Ponta do Altar to the Farol of Alfanzina.

Participation is free, but limited to 24 participants, and requires registration that can be done by clicking here.

The route is linear and has an estimated duration of 3h30 to 4 hours. There are stops along the way for brief explanations about the landscape (geoforms, built heritage, fauna and flora).

The organization provides insurance, identification credential, snacks and water, return transport.

We recommend the use of clothing and shoes that allow good mobility and suitable for the time of year, hat, sunscreen and water bottle.
