The restaurant Ocean, at Vila Vita Parc & Resort, and its executive chef Hans Neuner, received another Platinum Fork this Monday, becoming the only restaurant in the country to have this distinction for three years in a row. .
For Hans Neuner, “this award is the recognition of the dedication and work of the entire team, which every day wants to improve their knowledge of the country's products and gastronomy and give them a stage to present them, in their simplest form, to all who visit us.”
The executive chef of the resort's Ocean restaurant, awarded with 2 Michelin stars, had, however, already been distinguished with the Platinum Fork award, for the first time in 2012, when this category was inaugurated.
The awards ceremony took place on Monday, June 14, at Quinta da Pimenteira, in Lisbon and, as usual, was chaired by Pinto Balsemão, president of Grupo Impresa, owner of Expresso, who insisted on personally deliver all distinctions.
The prizes awarded this year by the Expresso guide team distinguished the best hotels and restaurants in the country, with special emphasis on those who distinguished themselves for their resilience during the past year.
