A 53-year-old woman who was struggling to get out of a muddy area on the Boina river was rescued yesterday by elements of the Maritime Police and Firefighters of Portimão.

The authorities received the alert at 17:58 pm this Friday and a team from the Maritime Police, as well as elements of the Firefighters from Portimo and the GNR, were sent to the site.

Arriving at the scene, «the elements of the National Maritime Authority found that the woman was in a muddy area, with difficulties in leaving the site, and one of the elements of the Maritime Police entered the area where the victim was, helping her to move. to a safe zone”, an action that had the support of the Firefighters of Portimão.

The woman was transported to the University Hospital Center of the Algarve.
