The Algarve Jazz Orchestra “Invites the Ladies” Clara Buser, Maria Anadon and Sara Miguel for a show that will be broadcast live this Sunday, May 2, at 21 pm, from the Municipal Auditorium of Albufeira, through of the channels YouTube e Facebook.
The concert is part of a new project by Orquestra Jazz do Algarve, in an initiative in which it decided to bring together three female voices “new and established values”. Clara Buser and Sara Miguel are the new values, while the consecrated Maria Anadon pays the honors of a cemented career, says the organization.
«These are three singers, who have often been part of the Orchestra's concerts in recent years and who deserved a record, a record that took the form of a disc».
The challenge launched, says the Câmara de Albufeira, which promotes the concert, «allowed the gathering of renowned themes such as Windows (Chick Corea), The Man I Love (George Gershwin) or original themes such as Entre Barcos (João Belchior and Sara). Miguel)".
A concert and a record were then created, «very varied, with very up-to-date sounds, to which orchestrations at the best level of what is done in our country contribute: Luís Cunha, Telmo Marques, Johannes Krieger and, also, Hugo Alves, who directs the project".
The Algarve Jazz Orchestra was created following the edition of Lagos Jazz 2004, as the Lagos Jazz Orchestra, and was formally constituted in 2005 with the name Associação Músicas no Sul. .
To date, OJA has performed hundreds of concerts throughout the country, also recording performances in Spain.
