Olhanense failed to qualify for League 3

Next season there won't be any team from the Algarve to compete in League 3

One point was enough, but Olhanense failed to qualify for Liga 3. Edgar Davids' team lost 1-0 against Real Sport Club, in the last round of the access phase of this new competition, played this Sunday, 30 March May.

In a game played at Estádio do Real, a goal by Flávio Silva, in the 14th minute, decided the match in favor of the home team.

Olhanense was the only team from the Algarve that could still guarantee access to Liga 3, but with this defeat, they ended up in 3rd place in series 8. Amora and Real were the emblems that rose to Liga 3.

In series 7, Louletano and Moncarapachense, removed from the first places, faced each other, in a game in which the team from the municipality of Olhão was three.

Thomas Parada, at 49, scored the only goal of the match.

So, in the next season, there will be no Algarve team competing in Liga 3. Instead, in the Portuguese Championship there will be five Algarve teams: Olhanense, Louletano, Esperança de Lagos, Moncarapachense and Imortal.
