Alcoutim Municipal Museum will present its new image this Tuesday, May 18, as part of the commemorations of 25 years of space and the International Day of Museums.
The image renovation consists of a new symbol, representing the mountains, the river and the “M” of the Museum, and is presented with a promotional teaser in the social networks of the City Council and the website of the Municipal Museum of Alcoutim.
«The new website will allow us to know its history, nuclei, structure, team, activity, spaces and collections and obtain information about location, times, prices, visits and new actions», says the municipality.
Celebrated annually on May 18, International Museum Day, it was created in 1977 by the International Council of Museums (ICOM), with the aim of promoting a reflection in society on the role of museums in their development.
Social changes driven by the pandemic and the social mission of museums influenced the choice of the theme “The future of museums: recovering and reimagining” by ICOM International for the 2021 commemorations, challenging «museums, their professionals and communities to create , imagine and share new practices of (co)creation of value, new business models for cultural institutions and innovative solutions for the social, economic and environmental challenges of the present», concludes the Municipality of Alcoutim.
