Digital Marketing and Design and Multimedia Technologies reinforce CTesP offer at UAlg

Courses start in the next school year

The University of Algarve (UAlg) will launch two new Higher Technical Professional Courses (CTeSP), one in Digital Marketing and the other in Design and Multimedia Technologies, as of the next academic year.

According to UAlg, the CTeSP in Digital Marketing «was created to respond to the growing demand of employers in terms of human resources, providing current and future professionals in the area with broad skills».

This new CTeSP, under the responsibility of the School of Management, Hospitality and Tourism (ESGHT), «intends to train professionals with the skills to plan, manage, execute, monitor and evaluate, within the scope of organizations, digital marketing operations», adds the algarvian gym.

According to the University of Algarve, «it is intended that these professionals acquire skills that allow them to develop strategies for digital content; develop and coordinate digital marketing campaigns; manage the company's or organization's social networks; create and manage an e-commerce business; develop and implement email and mobile marketing campaigns, among others».

The curriculum was designed with the support of professionals from the sector, namely Marketing directors from different organizations.

The CTeSP in Design and Multimedia Technologies, taught by the School of Education and Communication (ESEC), aims to «create professionals with a comprehensive training in the areas of design and communication, using multimedia technologies as a fundamental principle in their creative process».

The Design and Multimedia Technologies technician, explains the Algarve Academy, «will be a professional able to carry out activities in the context of the production of audiovisual and multimedia communication products and in the development of artistic, cultural and technological projects».

This professional "may integrate technical staff from small and medium-sized companies from various public or private sectors, cultural promotion and dynamization associations, municipal theaters and various cultural facilities, among others, for the development of innovative communication solutions."

A CTeSP is a cycle of studies that awards a degree of professional superior technician at level 5 of the National Qualifications Framework. It lasts for two academic years, consisting of a set of curricular units organized into components of general and scientific training, technical training and on-the-job training, which takes place through an internship.

«The holder of this diploma will be able to enroll in UAlg's degree courses, through a special competition for him/her, acquiring the respective academic degree», concludes the UAlg.
