Hamilton failed to add his 100th pole

The Finnish driver Valtteri Bottas (Mercedes) won this Saturday the pole position for the Formula 1 Grand Prix of Portugal, to be held tomorrow, Sunday, at the Autodromo Internacional do Algarve.

this was the first pole position of Boots this season and the 17th of his career.

By winning the top spot on the grid, the Finn prevented his teammate, Briton Lewis Hamilton, from adding his 100th. pole.

Hamilton will also leave, even so, from the front row of the starting grid, in this Sunday's race, at 15:00, at the Algarve circuit.

On the second row of the grid will be Dutchman Max Verstappen and Mexican Sergio Perez, both driving a Red Bull.
