Farense seemed to have (and the) victory in their pocket, but it did not go beyond a 31-XNUMX draw with Vitória de Guimarães, in a game counting for the XNUMXst round of the I League, which took place this Thursday, in the São Luís Stadium, in Faro.

In a game in which Farense managed to come back and create many opportunities for danger – they had two goals disallowed – the final draw sounds bitter for the team. Faro, who leaves this game in a very difficult situation with regard to the chances of maintenance.

The game even started badly, for the home team. After 2 minutes, Rochinha put Vitória ahead, after André Almeida's pass.

Still, Farense would not take long to tie. In the 12th minute, a cross-shot from Ryan Gauld (who else?) found Pedro Henrique in the area, who deflected it to a goal.

The game was in turmoil and both teams were looking for the goal.

And he would appear, at 27 minutes, again by Pedro Henrique, who took advantage of an error by Bruno Varela, guardian of the Guimarães.

It was with 2-1 that the game went to halftime.

Shortly after the return of the changing rooms, Suliman, from Vitória, got the second yellow card and was sent off.

Everything indicated that Farense had an open track to score three points. In addition to the numerical advantage, the Algarve were creating danger plays and even put the ball into the goal twice more, but the moves were promptly invalidated by the referee.

The bucket of cold water appeared in added time, at 91 minutes. Ricardo Quaresma received Bruno Lameiras in the area and headed for the back of the net.

Until the end, the result did not change, dictating the division of points.

With this result, Farense has 29 points, the same as Boavista, which occupies the 16th place, with one game less, when there are only three rounds to play.

In the next round, the Algarve will go to Dragão, to face Porto.
